It is known to be infested with a tribe of cunning and aggressive bugbears for the last 40 years. The Tarwood was once home to the tyrant mage Yenejg Tojan who terrorized the city of Blue, somewhere around 70 years ago. Additionally the Tarwood has its own bogeyman known as Toadstool, a giant scaly hopping creature with stained skin. Mothers in Blue often admonish wayward children to be wary of less he kidnap and eat them.

The Tarwood is adapted from Tito Leati's adventure the Seventh Arm which appeared in Dungeon magazine issue #88.
