The Church of the Iron Nation is dedicated to Hextor, the god of Tyrrany, War and Massacres. It is also the state church of The Great Kingdom.
During The Greyhawk Wars, the Church split into two, an event called the Iron Schism. Each faction followed a strong a charismatic leader, each of whom in turn favored a different claiment to the Throne of Aerdy.
The Church in Eastfair, of the former North Province of the Great Kingdom is still hunting down several former members who took advantage of the Iron Schism to slay several of their superior officers and abscond with powerful relics belonging to the Church.
