Gimble originated from the Gnarley Forest bordering the Wild Coast, in one of the many, small gnomish communities. He was studying the ancient & revered art of illusion when his village was attacked by a particularly aggressive band of Ettercaps & giant spiders, wiping out his family & friends. He was the lone survivor. Determined to not let this deed scar his life, he decided to wander to see where life could take him, & what sights he could see. Eventually he made it to Saltmarsh, & is ready for what is to come...

Having grown up in his woodland home, Gimble is skilled at survival in the forests, is a skilled hunter & trapmaker. But magic & illusion is his calling, & collects whatever unusual magical (or not so magical) treasures he can find to add to his collection. Given his rustic origins, money has little value for him.
