An orphan from Gryrax, Carac was raised by the priesthood of St. Cuthbert. There he was trained in the ways of the church. When he came of age he decided he longed to see beyond the city walls. He joined a few ranging bands and learned their ways. Recently he heard of the small settlement that has been constructed on Obsidian Bay. As one of the founders is a faithful of St. Cuthbert Carac has taken a ship to the settlement to seek his destiny.
