− | ==Temporary Country List==
| |
− | This is a temporary country list and it should be deleted once all the countries are imported into the wiki.
| |
− | * County of Ulek: The county's economy is dominated by farming and forestry, all of which is carefully overseen by the ruling druids. Like all of the Ulek states, the county has a vested interested in seeing the Principality push back the rampaging orcs of Turrosh Mak's empire, but they have problems of their own in the form of raiders down from the Suss forest.
| |
− | * Domain of Greyhawk: After the Greyhawk Wars, the free city of Greyhawk's domain expanded considerably, including the city of Hardby, the lands of the Cairn Hills and the northern reaches of the Wild Coast.
| |
− | * Domain of Obsidian Bay: The Domain is located in the southeastern portion of the Pomarj pennisula. It's major cities are its capital, Obsidian Bay and the former pirate haven of Blue.
| |
− | * Duchy of Ulek: The western most of the Ulek states is ruled by elven royal families. It features a cosmopolitan mixture of races, including human, elves, gnomes, and halflings.
| |
− | * Duchy of Urnst: Urnst is blessed with ample access to both the Nyr Dyv and the Nesser River, waterways that provide critical passage for the duchy's legendary mineral wealth and foodstuffs (mostly seasoned sausages and rye). Gifted with a moderate climate, the farms of Urnst produce crops in all but the deepest winter. Summer rains commonly flood the banks of the Nesser well south of the capital; wise farmers construct low stone walls around their fields, building outbuildings on short stilts. The rolling foothills of the north prevent serious flooding there, and make for breathtaking landscapes remembered across the Flanaess.

− | The lands of the Duchy have been dominated since ancient times by the Noble Houses of the Suel. A Duke has ruled over the Duchy since the times of the Great Kingdom, but has had to work through his advisory Honorable Chamber to get anything accomplished. To this day the shifting alliances and feuds of the noble houses remain predominant.

− | With Duke Karll missing, his nephew Lord Ellis Lorinar has been appointed as Regent. Factions are forming and groups that were held in check by Duke Karll are now free to act. Problems that have been left to fester must be lanced before they flare out of control. The tension between supporters of Ellis and those who supported the Duke's sons, Jolen and Broden, complicates the Regent's task. Troubled times lie ahead for Urnst.

| |
− | * Grand Duchy of Geoff: Geoff was conquered during the Greyhawk Wars by a secretive band of cloud giants known as the Sakhut. Due in large part to the efforts of the Blackrazor Guild, the duchy has been liberated and is now being re-settled. The Blackrazors maintain several baronies in the western reaches of the duchy.
| |
− | * Great Kingdom of Northern Aerdy: The second of the two successor states to the Great Kingdom, Ahlissa is ruled by the mercantile House Darmen.
| |
− | * Innspa: A corrupt and foul city-state located within the former lands of the Great Kingdom. It is presently allied with the southern kingdom of Ahlissa. The city's ruling countess has placed bounties on the heads of several Blackrazors for their accidental burning of the city's Slum Quarter in CY 585.
| |
− | * Kingdom of Ahlissa: When the Great Kingdom finally tore itself asunder, Ahlissa was one of the two successor states that rose from the ashes. No less evil than its northern counterpart, Ahlissa is ruled by the ruthless and merchantile House Darman.
| |
− | * Kingdom of Keoland: The great slumbering giant of the Flanaess has been little effected by the events of the Greyhawk Wars, save for the violent civil war being fought on its southern border in the Hold of the Sea Princes. The Blackrazor guild has only occasional contact with the kingdom, which is probably just as well for all concerned.
| |
− | * Kingdom of Onwall: Onwall was a member of the Iron League until that defensive alliance rusted during the Greyhawk Wars, and the state was overthrown by the Scarlet Brotherhood. Now a civil war rages on the pennisula, with rebels using hit-and-run tactics against the Brotherhood-held capital city of Scant. One of the ancient Suel archmages freed by the Blackrazor Guild is believed to be in this city, serving as an advisor to the ruling governor.
| |
− | * Principality of the Ulek: Nearly half of the principality was lost to the Orcish Empire during the Greyhawk Wars; now its dwarven rulers and their assembled allies are fighting to take it back. Obsidian Bay is one of the staunchest supporters of the Principality, and it has dispatched an expeditionary force to help in the war. Former Blackrazor Guildmaster Tanevir Calwyn is presently serving as a Field General in the allied army, directing all of the alliances covert activities in the occupied territories.
| |
− | * Scarlet Brotherhood: The Scarlet Ones were largely unknown before the Greyhawk Wars, when their plans for world domination suddenly became known. The Brotherhood controls several countries around the Flanaes, and has attempted to conquer Obsidian Bay several times. It's homeland can be found on the Tilvanot pennisula.
| |
− | * Orcish Empire: Emperor Turrosh Mak's Orcish Empire includes most of the Pomarj peninsula, the Wild Coast, and the eastern portions of the Principality of Ulek. It's capital is Stonehold.
