The Amble has a long history as Obsidan Bay's leading showcase for art.

Established by the second generation of Griffins Guild adventurers some 20 years after the founding of the city, the theatre has long served as a show case for musical concerts and bardic readings. More recently it has played host to new "theatrical" offerings, such a plays and musicals.

Its connection to the present-day Griffins Guild is distant but cordial. Few members of that guild still finance the now-independent Amble, but many Griffners frequent the theatres shows.

The Amble Theatre is capable of holding up to 1000 patrons, but more typically seats half that number.
