The Bastian of Heironeous is a venerable redoubt, a place of valor and honor that has never fallen to an enemy.
Honored by the Invincibles Guild, the City Guard, and many members of the Obsidian Bay military, the church has stood since the early days of Obsidian Bay, serving as a staging area for its fledgling armor back before even the city walls were erected.
The Bastian remained intact even during the War of Exile, when the city was overrun by members of the Scarlet Brotherhood, and then the demonic hordes of the Blood Lord. Powerful divine magic, coupled with unique charms and runes known only to the Invincibles Guild, did much to protect it from harm, but the faithful believe it was the will of Heironeous himself that kept the temple intact.
