What Has Come Before
The adventurers set out in search of a horror haunting the Adri Forest. They found it in the form a vile demon known as a nabassu. Their first engagement saw one of their number killed and turned into an undead. Now, their ranger restored to his humanity, they return to the wood to fight the demon once more.
The Saga
Fireseek 28, CY 586
The Demon Banished
After their disastrous first assault against the demon, the party brought Killian to the town’s clerics, who managed to bring him back from the dead. The ranger brought back with him the true name of the creature. The party took this knowledge, in addition to some magical fire power donated by Parren, with them in their quest to hunt down the fiend. They also carried with them approximately 50 gallons of holy water in a bag of holding, in hopes that they would be able to shower the creature with the liquid.
When the party engaged the nabassu, they were attacked by a legion of ghouls. The creature soared above them, heckling them, before dropping down to engage Killian.
Killian spoke the thing’s foul name as it attacked him, banishing the creature from Oerth. But as he spoke the name, the creature attacked gutting his intestines and slicing his leg off at the thigh.
Using quick thinking, the party slipped a ring of regeneration around Killian’s finger, saving his life.
The party, with Killian badly injured, is now back in Elversford.
It is the first of Readying in the common year 586.
