Fothma
The Friends of the Humanoid Masses is without a doubt the strangest of the city's adventuring guilds. It is comprised of folks who view the Pomarj's humanoid natives as misunderstood, wrongly persecuted wretches.

Overview
- City: Obsidian Bay
- Country: Domain of Obsidian Bay
- Leader: N/A
- Roster: 40
This bizarre guild of about 40 members works to help the impoverished orcs, goblins and other races on the peninsula.
It has close ties with a number of the major and minor tribes, and has been known to go on adventures with heroes from those tribes.
No one is quite sure if its members are evil or just plain dumb -- they have been seen delivering food and supplies to starving goblin tribes while showing gnollish ones how to become 'herders'.
The group is known to take in humanoids orphaned by adventurers and war, a fact that infuriates many in Obsidian Bay who view the humanoids as the root of all their troubles.
Fothma apparently supports itself through some limited adventuring on the part of its elder humanoids, but they are very careful to do all their raiding in the Drachensgrab Mountains. However their group is really more of a charity organization than a typical adventuring guild, and they are known to accept donations.
Fothma is fearful of the City Guard, some sects of the Church of Trithereon, the Orcslayers Guild and any other militant, anti-humanoid groups. Clashes between these groups and Fothma -- especially the Tritherionites led by Corin -- have grown more intense since the end of the War of Exile, and some suspect it's only a matter of time before the group is banned outright.
