Jeklander is the proprietor of the The Sign of the Tome and Tankard, an inn in the Strange Quarter. He is a middle-aged, predominantly Oeridian man, balding with brown hair and blue eyes. He grows a long thin mustache and chin beard that he twists when thinking, wears fine clothes, detests manual labor, but is generally good-natured.

He loves gossip, but keeps it mostly to himself, and never uses it for blackmail or sells it to others, but instead uses it to entertain his close friends, who include many spellcasters and other scholars from the Wizard’s Guild. He is a wealth of information about the city, and the general goings-on in the Strange Quarter.
