Jonas is a human flan-Oeridian mix born in the Domain of Greyhawk. Having been schooled in Obsidian Bay's College of Laughing Song, he is also a member in good standing of the Amber & Blood Society. He favors to play a small flute, though he is also known to sing. His favorite piece to play is also his most humiliating: The Dragon Took my Stuff. An adventuring bard, he is only found in the city on occasion.
Jonas's father was an innkeeper, and his mother the serving girl, at a small inn in the Domain of Greyhawk. So most of his youth was spent around the inn. His greatest entertainment was therefore listening to the stories of traveling adventurers. Of course, the bards made the biggest impression.
When he became of age he convinced Herrin Towncry, one of the traveling bards' to take him on as a student. His mentor found that things were a bit too dangerous to have Jonas around. So he enrolled the lad for two months in Obsidian Bay's College of Laughing Song while they tried their hand at the Obsidian Maze. Unfortunately Herrin never returned from the maze, so Jonas turned to adventuring to pay his way through college. He would adventure for a month or two, then use his rewards to study at the college for a few months.
Since graduating, Jonas has become a full time adventurer. Though he stops by the city, generally found back in town for the various festivals throughout the year, every few months. He even returned during the War of Exile to aid the forces recovering the city.
