Quittilian's Puzzles & Locks is staffed by halflings and gnomes who specialize (and are fairly competent) in constructing and de-constructing locks and puzzles. They make a fair business selling them but they make real money acting as consultants for adventurers, especially those returning from the Obsidian Maze.

Consulting can range from advice on how to get past difficult locks to selling masterwork thieves tools to selling specialty items to destroy locks to opening chests dragged back from dungeons to solving hastily scribbled riddles, copied down in dire circumstances in the middle of a dungeon death trap.

Quittilian's also pays adventurers well for information about dungeons, especially puzzles, traps and locks.
