What Has Come Before

The Blackrazors have bested a small horde of colchiln demons within their lair in Kerzit's Fane, and are now preparing to venture even further into enemy territory.

The Saga

Planting 23, CY 592

One Less Mage, One More Cleric

Aethelwin teleports back to Seltaren to retrieve Andulf and take his leave of the crazy-ass Blackrazors. He announces his retirement, but says he will bring Andulf back. Alistar is disappointed at the mage's arrival and subsequent departure, but is pleased that a new recruit, named a gnomish bard named Effel (a vastly abbreviated version of his first name, which would take 23 minutes to recite, and that being the shortened version of the long name).

Deeper into Danger

The party begins exploring again finding a storeroom, kitching and pantry, but nothing impressive until they find the lair of the shoosuva -- hideous undead wolf-like creatures. MacEntire attacks, moving quickly, and is mauled by two of the creatures emerging from the shadows.

Jakob then acts, casting daylight into the dimly lit room and revealing a total of eight of the creatures. Korem takes advantage of this to cast blade barrier, dividing the room in half.

MacEntyre, succumbing to the effects of poison, falls back pleading for help. Half the creatures, seeing the barrier, sensing danger, leave the combat to get help. The others continue fight concentrating on Korem.

Slowly, the Blackrazors widdle down the remaining creatures, Korem killing one outright, Jakob banishing two. And then, the fight over, they take a depth breath, try and heal their wounds … and prepare for the counterstrike by the gnolls.

The ensuing fight was pitched, with the Blackrazors struggling for position against their fierce opponents. Things took a turn for the worse when a contingent of gnolls arrived led by Yug-Anark, the cleric of Yeenoghu that they'd bested in Tomorast's Hold. She was accompanied by the gnoll chieftain Torakian. In the chaos that followed the Blackrazors were able to kill all of the gnolls and their pets without losing any of their own. The battle one, they looted their foes and teleported back to Obsidian Bay to rest, recover and identify their new-found loot.
