The Guild of Alchemists is a coalition of individuals who love to shroud themselves in the mystery of "The Craft", and who look down on more ordinary, less specialized individuals. They are dedicated to crafting alchemical substances, but this is merely a side effort that funds their true mission: the quest for the legendary process for transforming lead into gold.
The guild's members are scornful of the Guild of Wizardry, which they view as being far too interested in the abstract power of the arcane, and not focused enough on the reality of the Prime Material Plane. For them knowledge of matter is essential; the ability to cast flashy fireballs or summon extraplaner creatures is mere distraction. As such, members of the Guild of Alchemy tend to be transmuters, with a few loremasters and diviners.
Their building is a squat, one-story, fortified structure in the Strange Quarter.
Initiation
Admission to the guild is straight forward - the individual prove himself capable of crafting the following alchemical items in under three weeks time. The crafting must be done at the guild's testing lab.
