Overview

Gruffudd is a tall, muscular, handsome half-elf, although he states his race as Suel, and begrudgingly admits his obviously mixed heritage if pressed. He has long blond hair, a short blond beard, and piercing blue eyes.

He was brought up among the last few devout of Lendor in the decadent and declining city of Seltaren, far from the seat of power of the Duchy and out of favour with the current King. He holds to his family's belief that his mother was beguiled by one of those no account elven rangers from the Celedon, and he is none to happy to not be of pure Suel racial stock (prized as it was in his homeland). Wise to the fact that his religion, and religion in general, was out of favour in the very politically focused (he'd say corrupt) Duchy of Urnst, and from a family that had fallen out of favour with the powers that be (and therefore without a great deal of money), he was sent out into the world to find his way. He left with his training and beliefs, and not much else.

Gruffudd had enough money to venture up to the capital of Leukish, where he was able to book passage on a seagoing vessel, and by way of the Nyr Dyv was able to travel to Greyhawk and then out to the Azure Sea itself. He has not really seen much, as his travels through unsafe environs kept him mostly confined to his ship.

His original intent was to travel to Kingdom of Keoland, and possibly explore the reaches of the Sheldomar for ancient histories and artifacts related to his Suel backgound and the time of his race's eminence, but alas his money is running short, and so he was forced to end his grand voyage when the ship docked in Obsidian Bay. With his few belongings (his armor, sword, and tome of religious teachings, and not much else), he made his way off the docks and into the city proper...

Since his arrival in the city, he has become acquaintances, if not exactly friends, with a group of adventurers, in particular a half-orc monk named Prug. He gained a small amount of noterity in assisting his associates in destroying the Erythnulite cult known as the Rusty Axes, as well as breaking up a cell of another gang of mercenaries known as The Breakers.
