The mysterious so called leader of the Order of the Broken Staff is an enigma. Very few know his identity, and even most members of the Order have never met him. What is known is his arcane specialty, Divination. Some speculate that the reason so few people know much about him is that his divinatory powers are so advanced that he knows who will be looking for him and where and how they will investigate and he simply removes evidence from their path, ensuring his secrecy. With so little solid information, this mysterious figure has gained a nickname, the Shadowy Seer. Ironically, this only serves to muddle potential investigators more by suggesting a shadow magic or necromantic slant.
The Shadowy Seer is not a figure of public repute. Most people have never heard of "The Shadowy Seer", even in wizarding circles. Higher level members of the Guild of Wizardry have some knowledge of the Shadowy Seer, and probably the Obsidian Tower knows of him, but few others.
