The Saga

22nd of Planting, CY 587

The Blackrazors, having healed from their wounds and recovered from the shock of Kalib's disappearence, and Su-Quan's revelations headed back out into the wilderness and up into the hills. As the young gnome Gnarth Binderstone guided their way, the adventurers began examining their loot from the battle with the hill giants.

After counting the gold, looked over the magical items -- a petrified stick of wood, a iron flask of some sort, and several muddy beads. Fulgar, curious about the flask, pulled the cork off of it. Immediately a foul stench and thick smoke began pouring from the cork. Unable to see anything, and panicking, the mage threw the flask into party's bag of devouring. After determining that the beads were actually beads of force, and that the stick was a wand of paralyization, the Blackrazors continued onwards.

23rd of Planting, CY 587

The next day the Blackrazors continued hike into the mountains, following a game trail that showed absolutely no sign on animal life. They then discovered a stinking pile of carrion ... and were attack by a band of troglodytes.

The trogs lept from their hiding places with a frenzied attack that didn't come close to surprising their intended victims. Intead the adventurers handidly defeated the monsters, with Fulgar dropping three of them instantly with a color spray. As the battle wound down, Kannett killed two of the three unconscious trogs, immediately drawing sharp criticism from Aaron, who felt that was a very un-ranger like, and un-good thing to do. Kannett merely shrugged.

Later that day the party found themselves at the perfect ambush spot -- a rough canyon hundreds of feet deep that could be cross only with magical aid or the use of a flimsy looking bridge. Looking ahead and behind, the Blackrazors scouts were able to determine that there were two large bands of trogs approaching from either side of the bridge.

That's when the party did a very un-Blackrazor-like thing. Actually several un-Blackrazor-like things. First, they formed a plan -- the party would crawl into the bag of holding while the invisibile Fulgar levitated to the bottom of the canyon, crossed its bottom, and then levitated back up the other side.

They then actually followed the plan, ignoring gratitious combat in favor of stealth. At the canyon bottom, Fulgar was threatended by a pack of hungry displacer beasts, but he was able to dodge their attacks with the help of his invisiblity.

Once on the other side they made good their escape. On the 26th of Planting, the emerged from the Drachensgrab Hills into a no-name summer encampment of humans. Once there, they started to plan their expedition to the city of Highport.
