What Has Come Before

The Blackrazor Guild has just completed their second, mostly successful (save for the murder and undead reanimation of their guildmaster) expedition to the Obsidian Maze.

The Saga

Readying 22, CY 586

The leaders of the Blackrazor Guild, in their first night back into Obsidian Bay after the second expedition to the Obsidian Maze, found that they returned just in time to end a raucous bar fight between the junior members of their organization and the hulks of the Ralleymen Guild.

The Blackrazors, newly infused with pride in their guild, refused to back down when the Ralleymen began insulting them at the Fire-eaters Inn, a stone in the brawler’s district of the city. An exhausted member of the Blackrazors – Vincent – made it back to the guild hall to tell his leaders of the fight. They – Brt, Cal, Ragnar, Malphas, Falgar and the neophyte member Alton ran to the scene of the fight.

The first sight they saw was one of their men being thrown through a plate glass window. The second was the immense mass of nearly a dozen Ralleymen, including their leader, Bonebreaker Dras.

A furious non-lethal fight ensued with the party using spells to subdue the Ralleymen – a technique which did not win them any brownie points with that guild’s men.

The 15 of the Blackrazors were taken to the city prison. They were sentenced to one week’s hard labor for their part in starting the physical portion of the fight. The leaders of the Blackrazor Guild were fined 150 gp for allowing their members to fight, and 350 gp for spell use in the city.

They were then given a bill for 200 gp from Fire-eater’s for damages done to the bar, notably the glass window.

After the fight, the party returned to the guild hall, where they vowed to begin neighborhood watch patrols in the Mudsitters District of the city.

The party also set aside a large chunk of money – 3,000 gp – for taxes, and took care of their expenses for the month. Their financial adviser, Amadeus Aslaz, of the church of Zilchus, reminded them that a huge tax bill – over 10,000 gp – is due next month.
