What Has Come Before
The original Dark City heroes are resting from their recent quest to stop the rampaging Bleeding Eye tribe of Orcs, while the newcomers spend a few days learning more about Obsidian Bay and recovering from their own recent job in the Tarwood.
The Saga
Patchwall 17-24, CY 591
Wind's Song
Thom Silverbow decides to relax from adventuring by performing at the Fire-eaters Inn for five days. He does well, debuting his new song "Where has the Wind gone?", composed during the recent campaign to defeat the Bleeding Eye orcs. He earns 6 gp and 29 sp with performances that range from enjoyable to great to memorable. He does well enough that he begins to attract a new crowd to the inn.
He also begins work on a new song, "The Horror of the Pumpkin Man".
Shadow Scrolls
Vargas spends time crafting shadow scrolls. After the disastrous events following his original undercover visit to the Earth Dragon Temple, which saw a war of sorts erupt between the Followers of the Earth Dragon (which believes him dead, along with his former compatriot Wind) and the Messengers Guild
A New Wand
Corash choses to use his time to craft a wand of magic missiles and learn a number of new spells.
Pelor's Blessing
Kerth runs errands for the Pelorites. Trying to determine what was happening with the disappeared baby. He works with the Maidens of the Shield. When he learns of the Black Taint, he offers his healing spells to help. Kerth learns from Maidens about the Earth Dragon guard massacre.
Shrine of Twilight
Sir Fawkes visits the Shrine of Wee Jas and trains his new squires.
Mercy and the Psion
Prug puts word out on street level, saying that anyone who wants to seek refuge can inquire discretely about Prug's criminal outreach program. Prug seeks out Belgold Pegason, the psionic wizard, he speaks. Pegason tells him such powers are found in the UnderOerth, and asks that any cultists bring him.
Prug explains what's happening to the poor of the Mudistters District, asks for donation. Pegason says he will give donation to Zodal if he finds body; gives small 50 gp garnet as a token of good will.

Well Watchers
Abasalom begins organizing the Well Watcher to guard and watch the wells in the city.
A Journey Home
Seamus leaves for Coral Cove; takes a week round trap.
Bozak -- aka "The Dwarf" -- enters the town, says he's from Irontown, but then stays far away from it, in the Adventurer's Quarter. Also tries to avoid attention of draftors. If anyone asks, he says he's a member of the Gemcutters Guild.
Planetrn in Obsidian Bay
Zil spends his time looking for his sword at the Stone Goblin Inn in the Adventurer's Quarter, spends much time philosophizing about the Nine, and seeking out extraplanar jobs.

Emerging from the Shadows
Largo learns about Council of Guilds, wants to make complaint anonymously, but can't think of easy way. Office of Grievances. Clerk He learns that Thom is performing at Fire-eaters, and that Gruffud is at Swordsman Academy.
Patchwall 27
The Couriers Association
Largo seeks to make contact with Couriers Association, a new group forming to oppose the Messengers Guild. Learns that they are using Largo as a rallying cry, saying he's an example of what could happen them and that they are meeting at the Blackened Stump.
Patchwall 28
A Deadly Skyborn Finale
Thom, Kerth, Vargas, Largo, Corash are watching final race on top of Fire-eater's on Observation Desk as wyvern freaks out, kills its Blackrazor rider, snatches a victim, tears off its head and eats the torso, then drops body and hunts toward strange quarter.
Kerth blasts it with burning ray, attracting its attention. It dive bombs, but misses him. Vargas tries to terrify its mind, but it shakes it off. Corash lightning bolts him, but the creature avoids most of it. It tries to dive bomb Kerth, but only hits with one claw; Largo throws a dagger at it. Kerth fires on it again, but misses. Then Vargas summons shadowy arms, and slashes at it as the wyvern lands. Thom begins playing the Dragon's Lament, then hits with his rapier, piercing the creature, but Largo misses with his own attacks.
"I'm not packing fireballs today," says Corash.
The creature lands, lashes out with its tail, stinging him and poisoning him. He is staggered as the poison knocks him to his feet, and then the bleeding drops him unconscious. Corash gives him a potion of neutralize poison, then Thom gives him a potion of cure moderate wounds.
Maddock, owner of the inn thanks the adventurers for saving the inn from the wyvern. His wife Cambrie cooks for them. Daughter serves in the inn; son Kent does the books. Bayden is the half-orc bouncer.
Big jar at the back of the inn filled with gold coins. If you can get through a bottle of the killer liquor, Grandma's Home Brew, you win the gold. Also known for dagger throwing.
Gaber the Great, an elven bard who performs there, usually on Wednesdays.
Ready'reat 1
Kidnappings in the Tarwood
Seamus returns to Obsidian Bay, with his gear. Garth has been hanging out at the shrine as the apprentice shrine keeper. Kolborg occasionally cases joint, looking to steal gem eyes.
Zil, Garth, "The Dwarf", Seamus, Ferdiad summoned to Clara Cloudmore. Zil asks for "The Prophet Cloudmore". Surprised to find that he's dead.
She says that several children have gone missing, some were friends at Falcon's Hallow. And would travel on lumber caravan to Tarhill and Falcon's Hallow.

Headed to Tarwood, find that kids went to haunted orphanage on dare. Have heard that a few woodsmen have gone missing in the Tarwood.
The Horror Beneath the Orphanage
Head to the burned out orphanage. Find tracks of kids entering orphanage, then tracks heading west into the woods. Bust open door leading to basement. Find terrible torture equipment in basement. Also find dead body in basement, which Seamus investigate. He notices it didn't die from fire, but rather having it's throat slit ... and then suddenly sees swarm of spiders come pouring out of body, and a giant spider drops from the ceiling on to him. The spider bites, draining the strength from him.
Garth jumps in hole, attacking spider, then Zil jumps in as well. The dwarf realizes that Seamus has all his gear.
Seamus tries to flee the swarm as they try and flee. Zil attempts his burning blade maneuver to burn the swarm, but fails. He unleashes the Shadow Blade Technique, which chills the swarm. He then falls back and tries to help Seamus up the rope, telling Garth to fall back as well.
Garth flees as Zil attempts to hold them off, then Zil flees up the whole. They flee, the dwarf burns the cellar with oil. They follow kid tracks into forest and find kid camp and signs of a fight and some blood. Ferdiad checks tracks at fight scene, and thinks they are likely kobolds.
They determine that the tracks are several old, and prepare to follow them into the woods.
