What Has Come Before
The Blackrazors have long discussed finding Skel's Lair, but other tasks -- like exploring Maure Castle -- have taken precedence.
Fortunately someone else has found it for them.
Blue ice is an elemental form of ice so strong and so pure that it can be used instead of steel to forge weapons and armor. Among mountain dwarves it's prized for use in ceremonial war axes and they are always interested in rumors of new caches. Two weeks ago, dwarves in the mining stronghold of Dwjyr ("Fierce Camp") in the Barrier Peaks learned of such a blue ice horde through several of their glacial cousins.
The glacier dwarves explained that the blue ice lie within a valley deep within the mountain range. A team of mining scouts had found the vein years ago, but they were never able to exploit it because a white dragon claimed the valley for itself shortly after it was discovered. That dragon's name was Skel.
They fought the dragon several times, but were never able to drive it from the valley. When word reached the dwarves that Skel had been killed by the Blackrazors, some impetuous youths decided to mount their own expedition to the dragon's valley. No one is quite sure what they found there -- the sole survivor who returned raved about skeletons entombed in ice storming their camp, an elemental the size of a mountain that slaughtered his cousins with a single hit, and even the ghost of the white dragon haunting them through the winds of the worst blizzard they'd ever seen.
Two dozen youths lost their lives in that valley, and the glacier dwarves told their story as a cautionary tale illustrating the value of taking a few years to formulate a proper plan, tempering righteous greed with learned wisdom.
D'klar Ironforge, visiting the town when the tale was told, nodded in agreement. But he also knew of individuals more than powerful enough to deal with the threats that the valley posed ? and who had certainly earned the right to seek the treasure it contained. And with that, he journeyed to the Blackrazor Guildhall.

Seeking Skel's Lair
As soon as they received the news from D'klar, the Blackrazor Guild wasted no time in pulling together an expedition. Since most of the "A-team" was busy, Master of Delvers Jakob Dworkin turned to the "B-team", many of whom were working with Jacob in exploring Maure Castle. They prepared themselves and set off for the Barrier Peaks
The razors prepared set off from their base-camp towards the area the dwarven youths had gone. On the way out most of the razors noted that it was much colder than they could have imagined, and they wish they would have prepared just a bit more. After buying some over-priced cold weather gear from a now wealthy dwarf, they were off.
The first thing they encountered were animated skeletons encased in ice which they dubbed the Entombed. As they made short work of these undead, the storms became worse and they saw the ghost of Skel the dwarves had mentioned. However the seasoned adventurers quickly deduced this was not a ghost. It was in fact Skel's spawn Icil using the storm to her advantage. The seasoned razors aimed for the wings, grounding the dragon. They then made quickly finished it off.
The razors them made their way further up the path until they finally came to Skel's lair. There they found the reason for the heightened storms: The Dragons had a Wizard ally named Illeris. After defeating the mage, his minions, and Skel's second spawn Quel (twin to Icil) the Blackrazors finally claimed what was rightfully theirs: Skel's horde of treasure (along with the hordes of two additional dragons.)
