The three joined the guild and used it's resources to secure a few lucrative jobs. With the profits from these endeavors Malphas bought all the shares of the guild he could. Finally, after swindling Brant out of a portion of his shares, Malphas took over as guildmaster.

This lasted a few years until Brant disappeared into the [[Obsidian Maze]]. Brant's nephew [[Damocles Everton]] had him legally pronounced dead, and inherited his uncles shares. Damocles was Greek, and Democulis had 4 syllables) took over from Malphas, it was because he had become the majority shareholder when his uncle Brant disappeared (and was declared legally dead) and Democulis inherited his shares, and had obtained others (purchased in a shady deal with the help of unknown financial backers, likely from the Dark Circle, either before or after Brant went missing, I forget which) and thus had the most. Democulis' shares were obviously then revoked upon his death, as it turned out he was involved in his uncle's disappearance (and being made into an undead construct), and in betraying Obsidian Bay to invasion.

Tanevir stepped up as the most senior member left after the other major shareholders were either lost or trapped in stone pillars.
